Aluminum Ferro Alloy

Description

During the smelting process of steel, oxygen in the molten steel reacts with various elements to form impurities. If these impurities remain in the steel, they will reduce the structural strength and service life of the cast steel. This Aluminum Ferro Alloy is a cast alloy composed of aluminum and iron, containing 40% to 60% aluminum and a large amount of iron. It is commonly used for deoxidation of steel, cladding applications, or thermite reactions and alloying additives in welding wires and fluxes to increase the strength of steel.

Features

1. Strong fluidity: Aluminum and iron are the main alloy elements of the Aluminum Ferro Alloy, providing high fluidity and low shrinkage when reacting with molten steel. This allows the molten steel to fully fill the mold and make parts of different shapes without shrinking in size.

2. High strength: It can also add cobalt, chromium, manganese and other ingredients with a content of up to 3% to provide a correction function for deoxidation of molten steel and improve the strength of molten steel at high temperatures without losing castability.

3. Efficient reaction: This product adopts a relatively fine particle structure and provides different particle size options. This allows it to be quickly mixed with molten steel and improve the performance of forgings, especially suitable for low-carbon killed steel grades for making cold-rolled thin plates.

The preparation methods are as follows:

1) smelting casting;

2) infiltration method;

3) Powder metallurgy;

4) Vacuum hot pressing;

5) Rapid cooling/jet deposition.
