Alumium Manganese Alloy

Manganese-aluminum alloy, also known as manganese-aluminum ferroalloy, is a strong deoxidizer in steelmaking.

Description

The Alumium Manganese Alloy is an iron alloy composed of manganese, silicon, iron, etc., containing 1-1.5% manganese, and a small amount of magnesium, silicon, iron and other ingredients. In steelmaking production, it is not only a strong deoxidizer, but also used as an alloy additive to purify steel and alloy it. The manganese element in it can increase the strength of ferrite and improve the strength, ductility and toughness of steel. Other ingredients also help to quickly react with oxygen under high temperature conditions to generate more stable oxides or silicates, thus playing a deoxidizing role.

Features

1. Efficient reaction: The aluminum and manganese elements in the Alumium Manganese Alloy have a strong affinity for oxygen. When added to molten steel, the alloy reacts with the oxygen in the molten steel and rises to the surface, removing the oxygen.

2. Improve strength: Its manganese elements are powerful scavengers for sulfur and phosphorus in the steel smelting process. It promotes reaction with oxygen to produce stable manganese oxide particles. These particles help refine the steel's grain size and increase its mechanical strength.

3. Low melting point: It can be added at relatively low temperature into the steel melt. This prevents the formation of unwanted deposits and ensures that the deoxidation process is fast and efficient.

4. Optional sizes: This alloy is available in a variety of grain sizes and sizes, including common micron size ranges, such as 325 mesh and 200 mesh. Its uniform particle size enables it to be fully mixed in molten steel in a short time, making steel smelting more convenient.
