Mainly absorb lateral displacement and a small amount of axial displacement.

Requirements for pipe rack design:

1. The transverse compensator installed near the elbow of the pipeline has a guide support at both ends, one of which should be a plane guide tube seat, and the upper and lower movable clearances are calculated as follows: ε- movable clearance (mm) ; L-effective length of compensator (mm); △Y-thermal expansion of pipe section (mm); △X-thermal expansion of vertical pipe section excluding L length (mm).

2. The guide supports on both sides of the compensator should be close to the compensator, and the type of the supports should enable the compensator to move directionally
