Compensator selection skills
Jul 10, 2022
The compensator adopts a rectangular section and rounded waveform, and a single expansion joint in the pipeline is subjected to two-dimensional displacement. The elbow-joined pipeline composed of 2 expansion joints can bear three-dimensional displacement. Rectangular and rounded metal corrugated expansion joints are available in full-height and half-height types. According to the size of the flue and the requirements of stress and strain, users can choose multiple sections.
1. After the user selects a suitable compensator according to the thermal displacement of the pipe system, at least the circulating medium in the pipe, the design pressure of the flue gas duct, the maximum temperature during operation, and the external dimension of the cross section of the flue gas duct (length) must be provided. , width) selected waveform (full height 216mm, half height 108mm) and wave number (single corrugation single wave number does not exceed 6 waves), in order to carry out the structural design and manufacture of the compensator.
2. The maximum allowable expansion per wave: full-height △α=±24mm, half-height △α=±12mm.
3. Dust baffle: It is not necessary to use the air duct or the pipeline with less dust, and the dust baffle should be used for the dusty flue.
4. In order to reduce the number of nodes of the bellows, cold drawing by 50% should be considered.
5. The compensator is suitable for occasions where the cross-sectional area is less than 4.6 square meters and one side of the outer dimension of the flue is less than 1.5m but greater than 0.6mm. Standard full-height corrugated compensators are available for all flue ducts.
